You see the term ‘Big Data’ everywhere and I am tired of it. I have seen people use it without understanding what it means. Here is my attempt to provide some comic relief to these frustrations with a ‘Top 10 list’. Here are the Top 10 signs that your management is clueless about big data

10. Consultants on the premises to grow the company’s data bigger
9. Data scientists are tested by asking them to sing A, B, C
8. On every floor you see just delivered PODS
7. They demand Amazon EC2 services to archive their Outlook emails
6. Their Google searches: “what is big data?
5. You see them playing golf in clusters
4. All the files and folders on the shared drives are rearranged to make them unstructured
3. They acquired rights of Dumbo
2. You don’t see any email replies because of the new no to sequel policy
1. They think Apache has released a new tool for Hadoop: Ebola
